Me as a maker & designer

'Thinking outside of the box!'

My interest towards costumes started at a very young age by seeing the movie 'The Labyrinth' but I was 18 by the time I created my first cosplay costume. I was always the 'artsy kid' and had a great passion for painting and beadwork. In costume making I love that the possibilities and challenges are endless, and that I can work with a huge range of mediums! My cosplay journey has taught me a lot about different materials, working with very limited budgets, made me resourceful and resilient, while my academic studies gave me the professional skills to progress further and to acquire essential knowledge that is needed in the wardrobe and art department.
In design I love the psychology aspect of the characters and the fact that we can tell so much about the inner journey, the personality of each character through the appearance without saying a single word.
I can't imagine a more exciting and rewarding industry to work in!
